AMDD hosted the 16th Annual Media Lecture series, The role of advanced medical technology
in March 2010. This year's series discussed how prostate cancer treatments have great impact on patient's QOL.
During the second lecture, Dr. Yoichi Arai (Professor at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine - Urology) discussed about prognostic care for the patients with prostate cancer, including treating urinary incontinence after prostate cancer surgery. Dr. Arai highlighted the AMS 800® Artificial Urinary Sphincter as a successful treatment for urinary incontinence.
